Consequence of Sound have reported some great news. Following the release of their first new song in 13 years, “I Love You But I’m Lost”, last year Roland Orizaba and Curt Smith will have a new album out this year…probably by the fall.

The became one of the biggest bands in the world in with only their second album, “Songs from the Big Chair” in 1985. It went 3x Platinum in the U.K, 5x in the U.S, and 7x in Canada. Five hits including “Shout” which went #1 in several countries.

The production on their album is some of he best I’ve ever heard Chris Hughes who worked on part of their first album an all of the “….Big Chair” album plus the band and Dave Bascombe did a brilliant job with “Seeds OF love” in 1989.

Just a little while ago the band had to cancel their tour, “due to unforeseen health concerns and on doctor’s orders.” Dates have been rescheduled for early 2019.

Shier last studio album was “Everybody Loves a Happy Ending” in 2004. It was the first album featuring Curt Smith since 1989’s The Seeds of Love. – by John Beaudin
