Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody Officially the Biggest Music Biopic EVER & That New Tour

As expected the movie broke the record just a few days ago making it the highest grossing music biopic ever. After five weeks of release Bohemian Rhapsody made another 8.1 million and coming in at #5 at the box office and a grand total of $164 million. That’s $3 million more than the former champ the N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton. The Queen biopic is also the 18thhighest grossing movie this year.

Directed by Bryan Singer the movie got a 62% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes has made $540 million worldwide. Lets remember Queen had worldwide success.

With the success of the movie the bands music is also back on the Billboard charts and younger fans are discovering the music of Queen and digging Rami Malek portrayal of the late great Freddie Mercury.

Queen and Adam Lambert also announced a 23 date “Rhapsody” tour of North America today. The shows kick off on July 10th, 2019 in Vancouver, B.C.and concludes August 23rd in Charlotte, North Carolina. Tickets go on sale this Friday.

Guitarist Brian May said in a statement, “This is a great opportunity,” Our last tour featured our most ambitious production ever, and got us our best notices ever. So we decided to rip it apart and get even more ambitious!  Watch out, America!” and drummer Roger Taylor, added, “We are ready for America and raring to get back in the saddle.”
