The new project features Nathan East, Vinnie Colaiuta, Steve Hackett, Jason Mraz and Lou Gramm. Parsons is famous for recruiting many different musicians for his albums. The main singer in the Alan Parsons Project was Parsons’ musical partner Eric Woolfson but right behind him was Lenny Zakatek. Here is the rundown Woolfson sang 17 lead vocals, Zakatek 12, John Miles 9 and Chris Rainbow 8 and that’s just a few of the singers not to mention all the other band members through the years. BTW Eric Woolfson died in 2009 at the age of 64. Parsons says all the players he’s had on all those albums have one thing in common. They’ve all said yes. (Clip 003)

Parsons has had a few songs used as anthems or soundtracks for events. A great example of that is the opening instrumental to the “Eye in the Sky” album from 1982. The tune “Sirius” was used in lots of sports broadcasts. One of the tracks from his new album, “The Secret” “One Note Symphony” is being used for the 50th Anniversary of the Neil Armstrong Walk on the moon. (Clip 007)
