The First Ever Official Led Zeppelin Documentary Is On the Way
May 8, 2019 – Coenciding with the bands 50th annivrsary Bernard MacMahon who did the roots music series American Epic will spearhead the project.

Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones said, “The time was right for us to tell our own story for the first time in our own words, and I think that this film will really bring that story to life.”

The doc is currently in post-production. Jimmy Page said in a statement, “When I saw everything Bernard had done visually and sonically on the remarkable achievement that is American Epic, I knew he would be qualified to tell our story,” and Robert Plant addied, “Seeing Will Shade, and so many other important early American musicians, brought to life on the big screen in American Epic inspired me to contribute to a very interesting and exciting story.”

This documentary will not go through the entire history of Zeppelin but rather their early rise to fame in the late sixties to early seventies. So no “Rock and Roll’ no “Stairway to Heaven and nothing on Bonham’s death but that could mean a second film.
