July 21, 2022 – Imagine being a fly on the wall in 1985 when the band Chicago had the monstrous task of replacing their iconic singer Peter Cetera. The basssist had sung on classic band tunes like, “Hard To Say I’m Sorry,””If You Leave Me Now,””You’re the Inspiration,””25 or 6 To 4,””Just You and Me,” and “Feeling Stronger Every Day,” among many others. Along came Jason Scheff who, after some growing pains, fit in like a glove. Scheff, who was only 23 at the time, sang on Chicago classic “What Kind Of Man Would I Be,” and co-sang lead with Bill Champlin on “If She Would Have Been Faithful,”and “Will You Still Love Me”among other.
