INTERVIEW – Glenn Frey’s Brother Alan On the Explosion of “Hotel California”

I don’t usually talk to family members of musicians but it’s always an interesting perspective on seeing the impact that kind of fame has on a family.

Frey died on January 18, 2016. He was 67. His family is still mourning his loss. While the band was recording and touring their families were never too far away to support them. I asked Alan Frey if he remember the day the Eagles biggest studio album, “Hotel California” was released? (Clip 005)

Before Frey’s sudden death it was well known that the Eagles had plans to continue touring but Alan says his brother had more plans. (Clip 10)
